Southeastern Massachusetts Regional 911 District is the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the towns of Mansfield and Foxborough Massachusetts. The District will assume the responsibility for the Towns of Easton, Norton and Bristol County Fire Control and serve as Bristol County's NAWAS answering and warning point. All District 9-1-1 operations occur at the Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Emergency Communications Center (SEMRECC). SEMRECC receives both wireline and wireless (land line and cell phone) 911 calls, as well as handling all response asset tracking, deployment and allocation for Police, Fire and EMS Services. | If you have an emergency, Call 9-1-1 9-1-1 is the nation-wide emergency number for the United States. If you have an emergency, or think you have an emergency call 9-1-1. All 9-1-1 centers in Massachusetts are capable of receiving TTY calls and calls from non-English speaking callers. If you call 9-1-1 by accident, please do not hang up. Stay on the line and notify the Telecommunicator of the error. If you do hang up, even if you don't think the call went though, the 911 center will call you back- please answerand notify the Telecommunicator of the error. All 9-1-1 hang up calls that are not confirmed errors will have a police officer assigned to investigate. Texting to 9-1-1 is available in Massachusetts as of 12/2018.
